GOLDEN GRAIN FOR A GOLDEN BASKETThe Maize Research Institute, Zemun Polje will benefit Serbian basketball. An agreement between the Maize Research Institute, Zemun Polje and the Basketball Federation of Serbia was signed in the House of Basketball in Belgrade on January 12, 2012. The agreement was signed by Milosav Babić,Ph.D, Director of the Maize Research Institute,Zemun Polje, and Mr. Dejan Tomašević, Vice President of the Basketball Federation of Serbia. A part of the fund from the agreement will be set aside for the Basketball League of Serbia. Mr.Predrag Bojić, Director of the Basketball League of Serbia, presented a basketball jersey to Mr. Babić with his name and the advertisement of the Institute.
"We live in times when a value system is quite disturbed. As a socially responsible company we would like to invest in young people regardless of their engagement in science, culture or sports. Basketball is one of prestigious Serbian brands that attracts many young people. For a long time, the Maize Research Institute, Zemun Polje has been creating the ZP brand distinguishable in the country and world-wide. I have no dilemma that both sides will benefit from this cooperation. Therefore, I do believe that our mutual slogan GOLDEN GRAIN FOR A GOLDEN BASKET will soon be often cited", said Milosav Babić,Ph.D, Director of the Maize Research Institute, Zemun Polje.
Mr. Predrag Bojić, Director of the Basketball League of Serbia, conveyed his gratitude for the financial support to BLS clubs: "This is the second sponsorship agreement in a short period of time from which all BLS clubs will benefit. We owe great gratitude to the Maize Research Institute, Zemun Polje, for their recognition of true values and for finding their interest in investing in young people and Serbian basketball."
